Why targeted support for female founders?

Start-ups are the engine of innovation and economic transformation – yet women remain underrepresented in the start-up ecosystem. According to the latest Female Founders Monitor 2025, female founders account for only 18.8% of all founders in Germany. Furthermore, only 9% of investment volume and 15% of financing rounds go to teams with at least one female founder.

This imbalance is not only a gender equality issue, but also an obstacle to innovation. Studies show that mixed teams are more successful, achieve greater growth and produce more diverse solutions.
